INGREDIENTS
Verbena officinalis, Melissa officinalis, Mentha piperita, Cynara scolymus.
ACTION
A blend of herbs to improve digestion by stimulating the secretion of digestive juices, metabolism of fat and absorption of nutrients. Some of the herbs in the formulation are prized as a restorative for the nervous system.
Always drink a cup or two after a heavy evening meal and you will be pleased you did, when you wake up in the morning.
RESEARCH
Cynara scolymus, like Carduus marianus protects the liver against toxins and infection (Samochowiec, L et al. 1971).
In addition, it stimulates regeneration of liver cells (Maros, T. et al. 1966, 1968).
Vervain protects against the formation of kidney stones (Grases, F. et al. 1994).
Extracts of the Melissa officinalis were found to have antiviral properties.(Cohen, R.A., et al. 1964; Kucera, L.S. et al. 1965; Hermann, E.C. et al. 1967).
Menthol, one of the constituents of Mentha piperita was
found to be a high potent inducer of P450IIB1 (Friedli, Georges-Louis, 1992). This liver enzyme when stimulated increases detoxication by the liver.
